Working @ Ilim

Working @ Ilim

Early Learning Room Leader

Opened in January 2016, Our shared vision revolves around enabling and empowering individual students to achieve their potential within a learning environment based on Islamic teachings that are safe, positive, caring, inclusive and welcoming.

At Ilim Glenroy Early Learning Centre, we believe and respect that children learn best by play. Play is a time when children can make sense of their world and this is fostered throughout the program. The philosophy and teaching practices of ILIM Glenroy Early Learning Centre is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. This approach is a pedagogy that respects the child as an individual body, which can be expressive, make decisions, probe, problem-solve, reflect, ponder and be empowered to pave their own learning. The educator is seen as the researcher who constantly tries to discover the potential of the child and It is also the educator’s role to add a degree of complexity to the experiences in order to allow for higher order thinking.

Glenroy Ilim Learning Sanctuary, located on the same site as the Ilim Glenroy Primary School, will work in harmony with the community, with early learning and childhood education linking closely with the partnership with the school.
